Painting newer homes in Dieppe
Dieppe has added a lot of housing in recent years: new single-family homes, semi-detached homes and multi-unit buildings. Newer homes come with their own painting needs:
Builder-grade paint. Many new homes are finished in a single flat builder colour that scuffs easily and doesn't wash well. Repainting in a durable, washable finish with two coats makes a real difference in hallways, kitchens and kids' rooms.
Nail pops and settling cracks. New framing dries and settles during the first year or two, which often shows up as nail pops and hairline cracks along drywall seams. We fill, sand and prime these before painting so they don't telegraph through the new finish.
Making it yours. Feature walls, wallpaper and a cohesive colour plan can take a new house from "builder beige" to finished. Lyne's colour consultation is included with every painting booking.

Dieppe weather and your exterior
Dieppe sits in the low, flat country near the Petitcodiac and the marshlands, open to wind and to the moist air that comes up from the Northumberland Strait side. Vinyl and aluminum siding fade and chalk over time, and wood trim takes the brunt of freeze-thaw cycles. Our exterior painting process starts with a proper wash to remove chalk and mildew, then scraping, repairs and priming where needed, so the new coating actually bonds.
Recent work in Dieppe
Projects in Dieppe on our Before & After page include a house painting project on Rue du Golf and a ceiling repair and painting job. The Rue du Golf home was a difficult project: the main room has 16 ft ceilings, the staircase has overhangs and coves, and we worked carefully around high-end woodwork, but the biggest challenge was the high ceilings and hard-to-reach areas. Luxe painted the main living area, front entrance, staircase, kitchen, and master bedroom and bathroom.
